Russell Forest Run 2017

Published Thursday, January 5, 2017

The driving force behind the Russell Forest Run is to help provide educational tools for the kids in the Alexander City School System. Russell Forest Run and race sponsors have teamed with the Alexander City Education Foundation to host a challenging race, raise dollars for the kids, and let runners have a great race in one of the most beautiful areas in the Southeast – the Russell Forest.

From start to finish, the Russell Forest Run measures 10K and carries runners over rolling hills on sand, clay, and gravel roads that were designed for bicycles and electric cars. The scenic route starts at Russell Crossroads, takes runners near Kob’s Knob, up to Heaven Hill, and back to the finish line at Russell Crossroads. Following the 7:45am 10K, there will be a 5K run at 7:55am. Runners from across the nation claim this race as one of their top destination runs.

Registration is $40.00 for the 10K and $20.00 for the 5K. Register online at www.russellforestrun.com and we will see you on February 25th.
