Federal Programs

Alexander City Schools receives federal funding that supplements state and local resources to enhance educational opportunities for students. Our district is funded through Title I, Title II, Title III, and Title IV, each supporting specific areas:

Title I: Provides additional support for at-risk students.

Title II: Supports district-wide professional learning and staff development.

Title III: Assists English Learners (EL) in achieving academic success.

Title IV: Promotes overall student academic achievement, including initiatives such as the district Foster Care Plan.

A copy of the Consolidated Plan, which details information about Titles I, II, III, IV, and V, is available for review. Additionally, copies of the district Foster Care and English Learner (EL) Plans are available.

District and school Parent and Family Engagement Plans are provided to parents of students in Title I schools through the Parent-Student Handbook at the start of each school year. Parents are encouraged to provide input during annual plan revisions. Copies of the Parent and Family Engagement Plans are available at each school and in the Title I Director’s Office. If you would like more information about the Parent and Family Engagement Plans, please contact Alice Owens – Title I Director.
